NO WAR AGANIST IRAQ

We the undersigned believing that neither United Nations Security Council resolution 687(1991) nor any subsequent resolutions authorize military action against Iraq, including resolution 1368 (2001) adopted in response to the terrorist attacks in America on 11 September, as no evidence exists linking the perpetrators of those attacks to the Iraqi Government.
Concerned also that any military action against Iraq would have massive and disastrous repercussions in the Middle East region, as well the World Peace.
We the undersigned also call upon the Security Council to end forthwith those economic sanctions against Iraq which are contributing to the unnecessary and tragic suffering of so many Iraqis as shown in UNICEF and other United Nations reports. According to UNICEF, childrens less than five years of age are dying at more than twice the rate than before economic sanctions were imposed. It is reported that more than one million civilians have died as a result of these sanctions and radioactive fallout.
Believing that these sanctions have become a weapon of mass destruction, we call upon the United Nations to acknowledge that the economic sanctions imposed on Iraq are a failed policy that has caused inhumane levels of suffering and destruction of UNESCO cultural heritage sites; and is totally incompatible with the spirit and wording of the United Nations' Charter and the United Nations' Declarations of Human Rights and definitions of War Crimes.
As members of the global community, we call upon the United Nations to immediately end these punitive sanctions and to develop a meaningful new approach toward Iraq based on restoring human dignity and developing relations for a lasting and just peace.
Our voices are united against war at Iraq. This will cause untold bloodshed and kill and maim innocent people who have done nothing wrong.
Armageddon, " Every day is the "End Times" of biblical prophecy, an opportunity to realign ourselves with what we know in our hearts to be True; NOT the biblical interpretation of Armageddon espoused by literal-minded war-mongers with ultra-simplified conceptualizations of the higher orders of reality this mentality has used religious doctrine to justify their own terrible and cruel acts for millennia.
We shall not allow jingoistic rhetoric of an "ultimate evil," nor the alluring financial rewards for the elite, to occlude our clear perception of the matter at hand: the dealing of death and degradation to mass numbers of an unarmed, impoverished civilian population. There is no valid justification for conquering Iraq and reconstructing it solely in an effort to satisfy the egotistical and immature whims and desires of a group of wealthy capitalists. NO BLOOD FOR OIL!
Attacking Iraq will not reduce the threat of terrorist attacks on the United States -- if American military forces attack Iraq, this will increase the likelihood of another terrorist attack on the United States by extremist of all kind. There is already considerable resentment in the world over U.S. threats to world peace, a long history of U.S. military actions against Arab states. If U.S. attacks Iraq, this will only increase world resentment of the US thus making it more likely that some extremist party will get reason enough to attack US & UK in return.
Former President George H. Bush saw his popularity ratings increase when he started the Gulf War against Iraq. It distracted people from his Iran/Contragate scandal and was nearly enough to get him re-elected. Former President Bill Clinton saw his popularity ratings increase when he started the war against Yugoslavia. It distracted people from his Monica Lewinsky and Paula Jones sex scandals. Now President George W. Bush's popularity is dropping amidst corporate scandal -- war against Iraq would help improve his popularity ratings and make people forget about everything else.
NO WAR! There is no real evidence... not beyond a reasonable doubt... that U.S. & U.K. should take action against the Iraqis. U.S. has enough war on their plate at the moment with Afghanistan, Israel and Palestine, India and Pakistan! Theyll add another war to the list... they make more people hate the U.S.!
" Until the philosophy which holds one race superior, and another inferior, has been finally, permanently, discredited and abandoned; until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all, without regard to race; until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; until that day, our dreams of lasting peace, world citizenship and the rule of international morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never obtained."
