We believe that the sacrifices and dangers suffered by our service men and women mean that they have earnt the honour to be able to have their work recognised more than that of the proposed celebrity alternatives.
We would like for a deserving member of the armed forces to be allowed to light the Olympic torch at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
