Industrial wind projects are a heavily subsidized, non-solution to our energy crisis with long-term detrimental effects on our natural landscape.
Dwight Duncan has already given $2.5 Billion to private wind developers. Future commitments amount to $30 Billion. Ratepayers are forced to pay for this corporate giveaway by paying 2-3 times the normal rate per kwh for this destabilizing "dirty" energy.
Experience in other countries has been a dismal failure and no fossil fuel or nuclear plant in the world has ever been shut down due to wind displacement. Wind power has virtually no meaningful impact on CO2 emissions.
More research & development must be done. More stringent regulations and checks & balances must put be in place. We demand the Ontario government put an immediate halt to its Wind Energy Plan.
