Dear Prime Minister:
We, the undersigned, urge the parliament of Canada to take immediate action to oppose a ban on handguns and to implement steps to stop the flow and usage of illegally obtained firearms in Canada. Law abiding citizens should not be made to relinquish their legally obtained firearms and live in fear of the criminal.
Illegally obtained firearms are used by criminals and their presence in Canada has resulted in the deaths of far too many people and have no place in our country.
It is time to put a stop to illegally obtained firearms in Canada and to protect the right of law abiding citizens to own and keep handguns.
