We wish to run the under 18's night at Club Icon on time for the 30th of May below is a description of how the night is run and a detail of the conditions that we currently run the night under:
1. Somewhere safe and secure for children to have fun.
2. Active CCTV recording is in progress 24/7.
3. I.D is required for all boys.
4. Boys without Id are refused entry.
5. All security staff are licensed.
6. CRB all the staff.
7. Active youth workers are on the premises.
8. No search, No entry is a condition of entry.
Boys searched by licensed male security staff, girls searched by female security staff.
9. Parents drop the kids off at the venues.
10. Parents are welcome to come inside, and check the premises.
11. NO ALCOHOL IS BEING SERVED - SOFT DRINKS ONLY
12. Police officers children have confirmed that no alcohol is on offer.
13. At the end of the night, the security stays until the last person has left the premises.
The only problem stopping the event from resuming on the 30th of May is the fact that the club's license doesn't permit under 18's on the premises at all.
We have applied for an extension; however the result of this will only be received in June, which is too late.
We urge parents to sign this petition and enable us to go to the council for permission to run the under 18 alcohol free night.
