Petition to Abolish the Political Protocol in the University of Ulster

We, the Undersigned, led by Уgra Fianna Fбil hereby affirm in this petition our disgust and dismay at the UU Political Protocol, and its effects on free speech and democracy in each of the four campuses.
As the largest political youth movement on the island of Ireland, we call on UUSU and the University of Ulster to abolish the protocol, and call on Sinn Fein and the SDLP Youth along with Young Unionists to work with УFF as one political unit, as we have endeavoured to do in recent months, to bring the influence of all our members, elected and otherwise, to bear on the University.
This is an issue that belongs to no one party or political grouping - it is a fundamental necessity for all students in all Universities globally to avail of their democratic right to belong to a political party, and be proud of that fact. We believe there is no shame in asserting that pride in good faith and, acting in accordance with law, not an undemocratic diktat handed down to students to strip them of their right to free speech, freedom of congregation and freedom of expression.
Let them know, it HAS to go.
