Please reinstate the transmission for KBS WORLD

Dear Prasar Bharati,
This is the joint petition from us (along with our family), from your loyal viewers of Doordarshan DTH Plus, regarding the reinstating transmission of KBS WORLD in your platform.
From, last Tuesday evening i.e. 24rd March, 2009 onwards, we and our family could not be able to watch KBS World in DD DTH, which is quite a disappointing factor. We immediately contacted Manager, International Channel Distribution, KBS WORLD, Miss Sunny Ryu, at her e-mail ID [email protected] by browsing through the website of KBS WORLD. She gave us a reply to us. We, the viewers, then jointly contacted her and spoken on the phone at 0082-2-781-1177. There also, we were told the same thing, as Doordarshan had asked them to pay US $300,000 for a year, as they are alright to pay US $150,000, but they cant pay US $ 300,000, as they have currently have economic slowdown, compared to Indian economy. She also stated that by this years latest report by World Bank and IMF, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Japan are expected to have more than 4\% dip in economy this year (among the high sufferers would be Thailand & South Korea), whereas, India and China are expected to have more than 5\% & 7\% economic growth respectively, despite of economic slowdown, as they are the future economic engines of Asia and of the world. As per Miss Ryu, that is why KBS WORLD cant pay it, to protect them from bankruptcy and if Prasar Bharati cannot understand the condition of South Korea, that would make KBS World pushed in the world of helplessness, and moreover, they are not the one who stopped the transmission of KBS WORLD, it was Doordarshan, who stopped the transmission of KBS WORLD.
After hearing such thing, we the viewers of DD DTH Plus, felt bad for both DD DTH and KBS WORLD, as we, who have been always truly loyal to you, no matter how many big players of DTH service providers came, we still stuck with you, out of loyalty, as most of our prime of our life grew, by watching Doordarshan channels, even during Cable TV. We did took Cable TV, but to watch DD-Sports (which shows live broadcast of Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games), and Gyandarshan Channels as they show many programs for our kids, especially the ones who are appearing for CBSE Board Examination released from NCERT Publishers. After DD DTH plus came, we opted for it without looking back and then we got DWTV which showcased European window to us, especially projection of the culture of Deutschland. However, when KBS World and NHK World came, we were so thrilled to get them and mainly KBS WORLD was a great boon for us. As many of our household members now learn either Japanese or Korean, thanks to the buying out many South Korean firms and Japanese firms by Indian Corporate, thus these channels were a great help. Although NHK WORLD is more English, if you be kind enough to introduce NHK WORLD Premium, which shows more Nihongo (Japanese Language) educational programs and Japanese lifestyle programs, that would highly appreciated by us. However, by stopping KBS World has become a very disappointing factor for each of us, which shows separate shows on Hangul (Korean Language) Grammars, which were a great help to most of our household family members learning Korean Language, even to our neighbors who have Cable TV as well. KBS World is a great channel which is a perfect window of sparkling Korean Culture and its vibrant & artistic history from its historical documentaries and science programs which include shows on many engineering subjects with English subtitles. It shows many magnificent lifestyle programs and many sitcoms and drama series as well. It has become an integral part of our life and without it, our life has become like boring, and we cannot go back like we used to have before KBS WORLD come to our life. Cant you do something like lowering the fees for KBS WORLD? Although we think, NHK WORLD and DWTV must have paid the amount of around US$300,000, or else their transmission would have been stopped by you like KBS WORLD, as stated by Miss Ryu, when asked if KBS World is stopped by Doordarshan, then how come NHK World from Japan and DWTV from Germany is still on air by Doordarshan.
But wouldnt you consider for your loyal viewers, who are so devoted to you. Wouldnt you even care for them? If you do think that it is impossible for you to lower the fees for our KBS WORLD, then you shouldnt have introduced the transmission of KBS WORLD, in the last year, in your platform in the first place, then this would not happen to us, and neither we would not feel so miserable without KBS WORLD. It is our joint request for resuming the transmission of KBS World, as we have became very much miserable without this channel. Moreover the best aspect of KBS WORLD is that they always show the best aspect of India and always keeps on praising India in their news bulletin and other shows, which made us feel proud unlike other channels like DWTV and NHK WORLD, which keeps on praising China only. No wonder KBS World has touched our hearts within just a year.
Dont you think, you should think of resuming the transmission of the channels at least for your viewers, who are so loyal to you? Please think of us; please reconcile KBS WORLD for the sake of your loyal, devoted and faithful viewers.
Hopefully you will understand the feelings and the sentiments of your viewers regarding KBS WORLD. We hope youll understand our plea, and consider in favor of your viewers, and give our request the top priority.
