There are thousands of former Service Personnel who have earned their Military Pensions the hard way.
Once a Pensioner reaches the age of 55, having been compulsary discharged at 40 years old, their pension should increase annually to at LEAST protect it's value. This government, irrespective of cut backs, should strive to maintain a pension to those that sacrificed their youth and family life to this country.
Annual Pension increases should be the norm and be AT LEAST the rate of inflation. There has been no increase in the past two years, yet the cost of living has risen. We STILL have to pay income tax on our Pensions at the individual rates.
