Preventing Q.C.A Removal of G.C.S.E Coursework

This is a petition to prevent the scrapping (removal) of coursework at GCSE! As this decision I believe (and so do others) has not be carefully looked through and followed through properly by the Q.C.A (Qualification Curriculum Authority).

And also not to only make sure the future child, in their GCSE education has coursework. But is also the removal of the branded name of Cheat to all of those that have already received their GCSE Results.

The QCA has been hypocritical also on this matter, which has made many angered even more about this decision.

The reason for coursework is that it shows the true ability of the candidate, with them showing explanation, method, and reasoning etc. It also shows that the candidate fully understands the subject on hand. This is the basis that most university degrees use, of having projects, essays and assignments etc.

The branding of everyone being Cheats is also one step too far, as before the Internet was even accessible we had the use of textbooks etc. so saying that the Internet is being used for cheating is wrong, because its a resource. And you need to research your information before you start working on your coursework or else you would be lost.

Finally please sign this petition if you are at interest of saving our education system, which has made many people for the past 20+ years.
