Ever since news media has moved into the online world and allowed free and open anonymous comments, bigotry, racism, prejudice and hate speech has dominated the comments. Instead of informing people of events and perhaps bringing people together to find solutions for the challenges we all face, it has led to continual hatred and division.
It is time that news media outlets be forced, by law to end online comments and posts. Force the racists to write hard copy letters with the identification included if they wish to comment on articles.
