Releasing More of Sublime (w/ Bradley Nowell) Audio/Video Recordings

As you are aware, in May 1996 music lost a tremendous talent that may have changed music as we know it today. We are speaking about the death of the late/great frontman of Sublime, Bradley James Nowell.

Bradley was the first person to mix reggae, rock, hip hop, acoustic, dub and Latin music into one CD. His music has gathered people from all races and ethnicities together and showed that music really can bring people together regardless of race, gender, religion, etc.

Over 17 million records sold worldwide, this band was on its way to becoming legendary in the music industry. There are many bootleg shows audio and video that have been released since Bradley's death. All are low-quality recordings, but the Everything Under the Sun box set is evidence that these can be remastered. In addition, the numerous unreleased songs, live shows, practice sessions, acoustic recordings, studio footage, etc. demonstrate:
the recordings and footage do exist,
they can be remastered with todays technology, and
if released, they would sell worldwide just like previous Sublime CDs and box sets.

Since the formation of Sublime with Rome in 2009, the original band and its founding (and most influential) member, Bradley, seem to have been set aside though not forgotten. There is talk about a Sublime with Rome CD in 2011. We, the fans of Sublime (with Bradley), have no problem with the remaining band members starting a new project with a new lead singer and recording a new album. However, a Sublime with Rome release must not signal the end of future Sublime or Bradley Nowell solo (e.g. acoustic) releases. Bradley has inspired millions of people worldwide. His story and his music have been a remedy and a stepping stone for countless people in their lives in numerous ways.

There are many live performances House of Blues (4/6/96), The Palace (10/21/95), Firecracker Lounge (2/2/95), Palookaville, Pedernales Studio footage that have been bootlegged. Why have they not been remastered and released? These are the only bits left of Bradley performing live, something 90\% of Sublime fans will never see unless the initiative is taken to remaster and release these shows. We believe this is what Bradley would have wanted for the world to see the talent and synergy he and his band displayed. These recordings and footage are all that remain.

If the world is to be shown the talent of Bud and Eric through Sublime with Rome, the world should be given a chance to see Bradleys talent through his live performances. Live 94-96 and the small clips of footage from EUTS are nothing more than a tease for Sublime fans. Complete live shows are key for Sublime fans to see Bradleys true charisma, soul, emotion and love for the music he played. (Elements that are sadly lacking in many of todays musicians.)

Essentially, without the petition of Sublime fans EUTS would never have been released. Clearly there is much more out there besides 40 Oz., Robbin the Hood, Gold, Greatest Hits, Acoustic and Second-Hand Smoke. It took 10 years for the release of EUTS which allowed fans to experience songs like Foolish Fool (originally played live in 1995, but the studio version wasnt released for 11 more years), Foreman Freestyle, Wrong Way (Acoustic), Sweet Little Rosie just a few gems among the vast treasures on that box set.

We would truly appreciate and be eternally grateful for more acoustic recordings, unreleased songs, and remastered full-length live shows to be released for the people that continue to listen to 15-year-old recordings because of their undying devotion to the one-and-only, incomparable lead singer of Sublime. This is the legacy Bradley Nowell left us. It deserves a chance to be shared with the world, rather than put on a shelf and lost in time. His music will keep him alive forever. And these recordings and footage of him playing the music that made his band and his name known around the world deserve to be seen by his fans.

Please consider releasing recordings from the Sublime vault, including studio footage for the album that vaulted Sublime to the top of the charts (as seen in the Hong Kong Phooey music video) and remasters of some full-length live shows such as the crystal clear footage of Sublimes first big show at the KROQ Weenie Roast in 1995. Fans are hungry to see Bradley perform his music, not just Rome Ramirez.
