Removal of Facebook F**k the Troops Groups

As concerned users of Facebook, we are outraged that Facebook has taken few actions to enforce their Terms of Use and terminate the F**k the Troops, Against the Troops, Against the War, and other similar groups. Facebook terminated the original F**k the Troops group on 28 Dec 2006. The next day, a repeat infringer recreated the same group. Despite countless reports and emails to Facebook regarding these groups, actions have yet to be taken, and the groups continue to blatantly disparage the troops.

The creator of Against the Troops, Against the War has uploaded defamatory and objectionable pictures, including a depiction of President Bush and other soldiers placing a flag on a fallen soldiers casket while laughing; a portrayl of the evolution of a solider from baby, to soldier, to flag-draped casket; and a group of caskets in military uniform saluting the American flag. Many supporters of these hate groups wish harm and/or death upon soliders. One "F*** the Troops!" groups description, for example, is Every American casualty is a victory for the wonderful people of Iraq, and cause for celebration!! The group continues, in recent news, to say As of 1/15/07 there have been 3,017 hilarious American deaths in Iraq. Keep 'em coming!

Facebook Terms of Use, User Conduct, bullets one, nine, and eleven, respectively (as of latest revision 13 Dec 06), state:

intimidate or harass another;
upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that, in the sole judgment of Company, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Site, or which may expose Company or its Users to any harm or liability of any type.

Is material such as this not considered objectionable by Facebook administrators? Should Facebook users continue to be subjected to such hatred and bigotry of people especially the men and women who protect and defend this nation? Will Facebook allow these groups to remain active in their grotesque and disgusting endeavors?

Mr. Zuckerberg and Facebook Administrators: if you refuse to enforce and uphold your constitution governing your site, these repeat infringers will continue to take advantage of Facebook and use it as a means to spread their poison. Actions must be taken not only by terminating the groups, but the creators accounts as well, as they have communicated they will continue to create such groups. We trust you will take the appropriate actions mandated in your Terms of Use and put an immediate halt to their vulgar behavior.
