Removing premium content articles from ESPN.com

"Want to read the whole article? Get the Edge now with ESPN Insider!" This phrase has been read many times by sports fans around the world. While it serves a purpose, to get readers to subscribe to ESPN's premium service, ESPN Insider, it is unacceptable in its current form. The common users of the ESPN.com website and the affiliates should not be asked to pay a premium of 40 dollars to read articles within the aforementioned websites. Typical readers of the ESPN website already subscribe to cable content and pay for that programming as well as purchase numerous other ESPN branded products. It is with this knowledge that we, the undersigned, therefore are asking for the removal of this service in order to receive access to all sports content within the ESPN family. All sports fans should be granted the ability to read every article available to them without having to pay additional fees to gain knowledge about the sports they track with a strong passion.
