Replace Jamie's Skull Now

Jamie Turner was the victim of an unprovoked attack in May 2005 which caused a Very Severe Brain Injury and left him in a coma for nearly 3 weeks. He has made an amazing recovery but is left with many cognitive difficulties, severe debilitating headaches, chronic tiredness and problems with his left eye and hand.









Ideally the operation to replace his skull would be carried out 3-6 months after its removal but Jamie is still waiting. Telford & Wrekin Primary Care Trust has declined to speed up his operation even after a formal complaint from his family and this is despite the danger to Jamie who has only a thin layer of skin covering his brain. Jamie is desperate to have the operation to replace his skull and has had several near-misses where his head has been knocked, any one of which could cause more brain damage or a stroke.
