Request For Removal of Superintendent E. Correll

As concerned citizens of school district 46 (CCSD 46) we are calling for the immediate removal of Ellen Correll as Superintendent based on the new information that has come forward regarding her recent actions that have put the school district's children, the school district's public funding and the school district's PTO 501(c)3 status at risk.

These action include but are not limited to:

- The unlawful act of utilizing public resources and taxpayer time to openly campaign and solicit support for Mary Garcia and Sue Facklam during the April 5th consolidated elections. This action puts at risk CCSD 46's funding from state and local government.

- The wanton neglect of CCSD 46's students during the Tuesday January 31st 2011 snowstorm, in which both Prarieview and Woodview classes were in session while ALL fire exits were blocked with snow, placing at risk over 700 students in the event of a fire emergency. This action took place while there is documentation that Ms. Correll spent time during her work day campaigning.

- The deliberate decision to campaign through and with resources made available by the CCSD 46 PTO for specific candidates, which directly place the in jeopardy the PTOs 501(c)3 status from the IRS.

- The request to utilize and pay the bills with taxpayer funds associated with Kevin Gordon, attorney for the CCSD 46 school district to provide legal advice for the school board campaign of Mary Garcia and Sue Facklam during the April 5th 2011 consolidated election.

By signing below my signature represents my belief that Ellen Correll, superintendent of CCSD 46 Graylake IL abused her authority and that her misconduct and dereliction of duty as specified above is nothing short of shameful, reprehensible and inexcusable. It cannot be tolerated or condoned.

It has adversely affected the district and has resulted in such a loss of confidence and trust in her ability to act objectively and in the best interest of all stakeholders within Grayslake as opposed to a select few.

Ellen Correll is unfit to continue in employment in CCSD 46 district in any capacity.

For the above listed actions and other actions not listed herein, that have placed CCSD 46 at risk, I the undersigned as a resident and taxpayer of Grayslake CCSD 46 call for the immediate removal of Ellen Correll and placement of an interim superintendent of Grayslake school district 46.
