The purpose of this petition is to identify those willing to pre-purchase or purchase at retail DVD collections of Sir Arthur Conan Doyles The Lost World Television series. This effort is to that there is both support a viable audience for such a release.
Recently, there have been multiple shows releasing complete seasons in reasonably priced DVD sets (including the X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Stargate SG-1). Each of these successful sets has two things in common: they are genre TV and have a very loyal fan base. Youll find that The Lost World is no different.
Indeed, a suggestion by fans is that New Line sets up a pre-purchase sign-up, and the DVDs go into production once the needed number of consumers is met. That way New Line is insured a profit and the fans receive the DVDs.

It would be an excellent venture to produce The Lost World on DVD. I currently video tape every episode, but the quality is not as good as a DVD. I would personally be quite happy to pre-purchase or purchase any sort of DVD set offered of this series. I a
