Revoke Criminal Charges Against Kutztown Area High School's Students

We, the undersigned, are US citizens who disagree with the Kutztown Area High School's punishment policy, especially regarding the recent events pertaining to the felony charges filed against 13 minor students, who were given Apple laptops to aid in curricular activities.
These students breached the computer's security, using a hardly secure password composed of the house no. and street name of the district office, to enable them to disable monitoring software and internet proxy filters. These actions violate the usage policy of the school district, but do not amount to felony charges, especially since a minor cannot agree to a contract, and therefor also cannot violate one.
We request these felony charges to be dropped immediately, reimbursement for discredit relating to the criminal charges, and finally appropriate punishment of these students within the school's area of competence (suggested 1 - 3 days suspension based on involvement).
We believe this is a school district's way of attempting to enforce a minor and greatly irrelevant policy by way of criminal law, which is completely inappropriate. We hope that the district's superintendent and/or ones associated with this matter will be held responsible for these actions and be relieved of duty in severe cases.
