Over the past few days, eBay have announced major increases in listing and Final Value Fees.
Most eBay sellers feel that these increases are unwarranted, due to the company boasting incredible growth and profit in the past 4-5 years.
This is due only to the incredible network of sellers and buyers. Without us, eBay do not exist, they have forgotten this simple fact, on their way to financial success.
We, the undersigned, petition Sir Richard Branson and his Virgin fleet of companies to implement an internet based auction site, to compete with eBay Inc.
We, the undersigned, believe Sir Richard Branson is the only type of entrepreneur that can compete with eBay.
To make this successful, the difference to eBay would be these few points:
1. Allow all current eBay users to transfer current eBay 'feedback' to their new Virgin Auction Accounts.
2. Make buying & selling registration more fraud-proof, by requesting more information from participants than just an email address. Then promoting the new site as the 'safe online alternative to eBay'
3. Have a flat rate Final Value Fee structure in place, whether the sell price is $1.00 or $1,000.00
4. Have free basic listings with gallery.
The four points listed above are only guides to what could make this implementation work.
This petition also represents the eBay participants who are fed-up with the constant increase in eBay & Paypal fees and the obvious lack of true customer service!
