Rights for Motorized Recreation in NJ

To the State of NJ Gov. Codey, Comm. Campbell, Members Of Assembly & Senate.
County of Gloucester, Freeholder Board
Township of Monroe- Mayor and council.

We the undersigned (OHV Community) represent 166,000 strong in NJ- support the long overdue OHV Park proposed for the former Sahara Sands property. We as adult, tax paying, hard working voting residents, are fully behind the state, county and any town who would host a facility. It is long overdue in NJ and we will not go away until we have safe legal motorized recreation areas in NJ for our children and us both north and south, as per policy directive.


But right now this is in support of the proposed facility at Monroe Township.
Establishing this park will provide the County of Gloucester and its cities with many benefits including:

The park will provide much needed family recreation; Will provide a safe legal alternative to illegal off-road use and will minimize damage to other areas;
The park environment can be monitored and controlled while preserving managed undeveloped open space;
Will provide a State Grant funded park, which will cost the county nothing to build and operate;
Will finally provide thousands of County residents with a return on their fuel and registration tax dollars;
Will provide a way for the County of Gloucester to give something back to an industry, which contributes tremendously to the local economy;
Will free up Park Rangers as well as local law enforcement personnel for more important duties;
Will bring a huge boost to the economy of the host town, as well as surrounding town and the county.
This park will benefit all County residents while also being very cost effective.

Please, lets work together and begin the process of building this park.
