We think that the Rio Riot hard drive MP3 player could be much richer in features and bugfixes with an open source firmware replacement. The trouble is, the firmware is encrypted. So, we need to request that Rio Audio release the encryption algorithm, which will allow a project to ensue that will improve the features of the Rio Riot.
