We, the undersigned, believe that October 24th should be set aside as a national holiday, honoring black rights activist Rosa Parks. Her activism extends way beyond her refusal to give up her bus seat to a white person, and we believe that, due to her life's dedication to making the world a better place, October 24th, the day of her death (2005), should be declared a national holiday, Rosa Parks Day. She deserves it as much as Martin Luther King, Jr. Please take this into deep consideration. Thank you.
