The unprecedented murder of Farmers in South Africa is out of control.
I would like to bring your attention to the following predicament:
Farmers in South Africa are at present being murdered at an alarming rate. This horrifying act also involves rape, beatings and torture which can last for hours.
The following statement is a small breakdown of the acts committed
These acts (just a few of them) also involve the entire family structure with wives, daughters, sons and even the family pets being victims of these horrendous crimes.
1. Boiling water poured over the head- repeatedly
2. Hot iron used on various parts of the body
3. Being (gang) raped and having various objects inserted into the body.
4. Throttled with coat hangar wire
5. Stabbed repeatedly in the face.
6. Shot through the back of the head.
7. Being set on fire.
Imagine any of these things happening to your family or friends
Lately many of the farmers have fallen prey to the police who are arresting them without due cause and in some cases arresting the farmer for detaining a suspect on his farm. One example is a farmer named Wilhelm Rocher. Whilst government intervention cannot be proven to be bias in a lot of these cases, individual police officers seem to be in favour of the criminals. This smacks of racism and a total disregard for the rule of law one which is openly ignored by the South African Government and has the same alarmist undertones as Zimbabwe. As recently as Saturday the 6th February 2010 a petition was delivered to the government in Pretoria with regards to the increasing rate of murders on the farms. By the way this also from time to time includes black farm hands who are murdered.
With the concept of ideology and past wrongs taken out of the picture I would ask you, since when does two wrongs make a right and if this world's Governments and the powers-that-be are striving to be a civilized one, then where is the compassion, co-operation and understanding? You have the ability to help to make a difference, otherwise South Africa will lose it's farmers, it's farming sector and become economically worse off than what it is now.
