گسترش فناوری های دیجیتال و به خصوص اینترنت در سال های اخیر، کمک موثری به ارتقاء آگاهی اجتماعی و ظهور جنبش های مدنی در کشورهای تحت امر رژیم های خودکامه از جمله ایران کرده است. آنچه پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری سال 1388 در ایران رخ داد، مثالی بارزی از اینگونه جنبش ها بود که هم چنان و به طرق مختلف از سوی حاکمیت سرکوب می شود. حکومت ایران به خوبی از قدرت این رسانه ها آگاه است و از زمان ظهور این پدید همواره در فکر محدود کردن آن بوده است؛ تا جایی که اخیراً مسئله اینترنت ملی را مطرح کرده است تا بتواند تا جای ممکن حلقه ی این محاصره چند ده ساله را تنگ تر کند.
امضاء کنندگان این دادخواهی، ضمن اعلام بی طرفی در مناسبات کلان سیاسی بین المللی، تنها به عنوان مردمی که آزادی و مخصوصاً آزادی بیان را حق خود می دانند، از دولت های غربی و به خصوص دولت آمریکا که پیشتر طرحی را در این باره در سطح اول سیاست خارجه ی خود مطرح کرده است- تقاضا دارند تا تمام تلاش خود را برای عرضه ی اینترنت بی واسطه و امن به مردم ایران انجام دهند. سرعت عمل شما، و استفاده از تمام ظرفیت های ممکن در منطقه، دریچه ای رو به آزادی ایران فردا خواهد بود.
In the name of freedom
In recent years, development of new technologies and specifically the Internet was an effective help to improve the social perceptions and emergence of civic movements in countries like Iran that have been governing by dictator states. What that happened after presidential elections in 2009 is an outstanding example of such movements those has been repressed by government during time. Irans government exactly knows that how powerful these new media are and from its beginning has issued a lot of limits about them. This new and strange concept of National Internet is their last tactic to provide an isolated informative environment in the country.
Standing out of all massive political interrelations, innocent people who signed this petition ask the western countries and specially US to use all the possibilities to provide an safe and direct connection to the Internet for Iranian people to see the light of liberty shining in throw the window later on.
