I do not know who holds the film rights to Sam Peckinpah's "Cross of Iron" at this time. Please join with me in asking that a major studio/distributor get hold of this extraordinary anti-war film and give it the spruced up, anamorphic release it deservers. The Hen's Tooth DVD is atrocious, and not worth anyones time, let alone money. Mr. Peckinpah has given the movie going public quite a few "cinematic gifts" that are not recieveing the DVD presentations they should. I hope this can be corrected in the near future with our help.

I have an old VHS uncut version of "Cross Of Iron", but it is in Full Screen and in some scenes, too dark in color. This masterpiece of a war movie deserves to be remastered in Anamorphic Wide Screen, Digital Stereo if not sound, and Uncut.

The Hen's Tooth domestic version is beyond lame. It's unwatchable, in fact so much so, that I picked up the British Region 2 release which would be flawless except for the fact that the image is slightly "squeezed" due to it being from a PAL transfer inst

This is a suberb film that should be preserved in prestine shape..A good DVD would instantly find its place next to Saving Private Ryan, Das Boot, Black Hawk Down and We Were Soldiers.
