Bella Citta Needs YOUR Help!!! Many of you may remember the flooding of the cafe which happened in DEC 2009 caused by a sub contractor who was performing work for Cricket Communications. His liability insurance company, Auto-Owners Insurance, has been playing the "CLAIM GAME" with Bella Citta for 15 months now, and it has taken it's toll on us. We are in desperate need of the compensation that we have provided to document what is owed to us as a result of the damages that were caused by the flood, the lost revenue as a result of being closed for 11 days, the personal property that was damaged, the attorneys fees incurred as a result of having to fight this ridiculous battle for the last 17 months and at this point all of the emotional damages & credit deterioration that have been caused as a result of their negligence will be expected as well.
Without the compensation, Bella Citta will be compelled to close on Friday September 16th. The court date that was mutually agreed upon by the attorneys involved is scheduled for February 2012, at which point, IF Bella Citta Gelato & Cafe wins the lawsuit and our landlord, who authorized the construction of the cell phone tower, is willing to work with us, we plan to re-open in the Spring of 2012.

We do not want to close! We need your help to make Auto-Owners Insurance do the right thing!

I am begging for the help of my dear customers! Please tell EVERYONE how much you enjoy Bella Citta Gelato & Cafйand how the closing of the store might affect you. We are a small business, but I know we have a lot of power!

I have researched the practices of Auto-Owners Insurance on the Internet, and it seems to be a recurrent theme, but you will never know how many people have complained to the Utah Insurance Commission, because that is top secret.

I hired an attorney at THE BIGGEST law firm in town in July 2010, he believed that it was a pretty cut & dry case...and that they would probably pay the claim once they were sent a few demand letters with the name Vancott,Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy established 1874. But my attorneys fees have reached the amount of the initial claim...so I am now forced to take measures in my own hands AND Bella Citta Gelato & Cafй needs your HELP!

Prior to hiring the attorney, I asked for help from the Utah State Insurance Commission, and they gladly accepted all of the documents that I provided and my time that it took to make a case against Auto-Owners Insurance accusing them of mishandling my claim. After 30+ days of investigating, I asked them if their investigation found Auto-Owners Insurance to be guilty of mishandling my claim, and I asked them what should I do next to receive payment.

Their answer was SHOCKING!!! "It was none of my business."....I stood there in total disbelief, I took my time to file a claim against this Fortune 500, JD Power rated company, and waited patiently for the Insurance Commission to be the referee, but in the end, the complaint was only for the Utah State Insurance Commission to penalize Auto-Owners Insurance accordingly, and to profit from my complaint. And I will never know... who knowsmaybe the Utah State Insurance Commission found me at fault in my complaint, and so I have hired an attorney for nothing....but since those records are kept secret from the public... I will never know! Their advice to me, was "hire an attorney". So I did, and 14 months later, there is still no resolution.
