This petition is to show how much support there still is for saving the "historic" Flemington Fair Speedway located in Northern New Jersey.
Currently there are plans to dismantle the speedway and develop the property for commercial use.
Flemington has been closed since September, 2000. However, many feel that with the right group and backing the once thriving local Saturday night 5/8th mile square racetrack that once held claim for being the oldest operating weekly racetrack in the nation could once again thrive.
By signing this petition, you are merely showing your interest to save this great speedway so it could once again thrive and become a major player in northeast auto racing like it once was!
Furthermore, by signing this petition you are expressing your desire to have a group such as Boundless Motorsports purchase the speedway for "racing use" in lieu of current plans to destroy the speedway and it's large fairgrounds that could accommodate large racing and non-racing events.

Flemington is just not the same without an active speedway. I lived in Flemington in the mid 1990's and had the pleasure of visiting the speedway. I would love to go back.
