We the undersigned object in the strongest terms about the planned development of Wheal Friendly Engine House in St Agnes.

This engine house is at the very centre of a World Heritage site recently granted by UNESCO.World Heritage status gives recognition to 'Cornish Minings' excellence as a world class cultural and heritage site and recognises the importance of 'Cornish Minings' historic landscapes and outstanding buildings in addition to its important role in technological innovation and scientific research.

Prince Charles was presented with the certificate on 17th May 2007!!!

The planned development would convert the building into 2 holiday flats and a conference/ meeting venue. The proposed development would mean the destruction of some of the existing buildings on the site.
