Save Our Streets

We, the proud supporters of Save Our Streets, believe that there are far too many antisocial, dangerous people on our streets today, who are happy in the knowledge that they can get away with anything because law enforcement is not strong enough in our area. It is now no longer safe to go out onto the streets for fear of being brutally assaulted by youths and having the ordeal filmed on mobile phones. This "Happy Slapping" phrase sounds cute and innocent from its name, but we should start calling it what it is. Assault. We insist that law enforcement is stepped up in the Hertfordshire area, and that the Herts Police Authority do whatever is in their power to get these thugs off of the streets. It is only a matter of time before someone is killed by a "Happy Slapping" incident.
