The Mifflinburg Area School District Board is considering a proposal to close the outlying Elementary Schools including New Berlin, Buffalo Crossroads & Laurelton. We believe these neighborhood schools underpin the lifetime success of our children, provide exceptional educational quality, and support community vitality, identity, growth, and property values.
We urge the Mifflinburg Area School District Board to vote against closing New Berlin, Buffalo Crossroads & Laurelton Elementary Schools.
We further support using any designated school district construction dollars, currently on reserve, for restoration of the existing elementary schools BEFORE considering additional building facilities.
