MSQ (Maritime Safety Queensland) are effectively putting the Island Party Boat out of business by over zealous application of the rules.
A qualified accredited marine surveyor has staked his professional reputation, business and hence his livelihood on stating the Island Party Boat is SAFE to operate as a passenger carrying commercial vessel in the Brisbane River yet MSQ will not allow the Island Party Boat to resume operations.
It will be cut into scrap and melted down within the next few weeks unless it can be saved.
Can you please assist to prevent the demise of this Brisbane icon?
