I, in concert with concerned individuals and organizations, respectfully request that the District Attorney's Office of Prince Georges reviews the facts, events, and circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of Dr. Solomon Noubissie, including the presence and participation of all parties in the events leading to Dr. Noubisse's death. We request this due diligence and thorough investigation in furtherance of the civil protections that pertain to all residents, which the District Attorney's Office is entrusted to maintain.
In press reports, Dr. Noubisse, a graduate from Sorbonne University in France and practicing physician before migrating to the US, and a productive member of the community, is portrayed as inexplicably uncontrollable and apparently psychotic in moments preceding his death. The alleged romantic relationship with the mother of his killer, and the brawl and domestic tensions involving other adults, which led to the unfortunate homicide are not mentioned.
These material omissions in public reports raise doubts in the minds of concerned residents and hasty conclusions may exclude crucial events that are relevant to the findings. Therefore, at minimum, all the facts and mitigating occurrences culminating in the tragic loss of life should be examined because we value the dignity of each individual. In the aftermath of death, we believe a thorough investigation is still the best guarantor of civil protections.
