Select Sourav Ganguly for Indian National Test Team

This is to bring to your notice, that the exclusion of Sri Sourav C. Ganguly from the Indian National Tests Squad for the 3rd Test against Sri Lanka today, the 14th Day of December, 2005, has caused extreme grief and anguish in the cricket fraternity of the country. Sourav has been a supreme cricketer and his performance in the just concluded test match belied fears that he is a spent force. Rather to the contrary, he has played two responsible knocks of 40 and 39 runs, and held the batting together on the crucial first hour of the 4th day.









Based on his current form and, of course, his inherent class, we feel that he deserves a berth in the active test squad. We do hope that you will appreciate our concern, the fact of the matter, and the feelings of millions of cricket lovers, in India and abroad, and reinstate Sourav Ganguly, in the team in time for the next test.
