SOC 183G - Petition to build a structure at lot 30

We, the undersigned students, faculty, and staff of UC Riverside petition the University to build a parking structure at lot 30. Each year the UCR student population has increased creating over population in the main gold lot. During peak hours of classes it becomes a hassle to find a parking spot making some students late to class, work or other events. Last year, according to TAPS research, Lot 30 can average up to over 7,000 cars parking at lot 30. Right now there are 2075 spaces. We ask UCR to build a structure at least in the front area of lot 30 to create more accessibility for students, staff, faculty, and guest who visit our campus.
