Stop Silencing Regular Americans

Any idea that can stand on its own merit should never require its opposition to be silenced.

When the city council of Quincy, Illinois took the unprecedented step of arbitrarily denying taxpaying resident Steve McQueen the right to speak at their public meeting on May 4th, 2009, due solely to his affiliation with the Tea Party movement, they confirmed their inability to defend their ideas on a level playing field.

According to the polls, McQueen and the Tea Parties stand with the vast majority of Americans on the bailouts (76\%), taxes and deficit spending (62\%), nationalizing the banks (75\%), loaning the auto-makers any more money (64\%), government being whats wrong with the economy (59\%)it goes on and on:

Those tripling the national debt, imposing record tax hikes, and silencing any and all dissent against them are the only extremists here. We hereby pledge to commit the resources, time, and effort necessary to unseat every last Quincy politician unfairly standing in the way of open, public debate on matters of grave concern to the citizens they are supposed to be representing.
