Stop The 4AD Legal Proceedings

We are signing this letter in support of Ms. Leesa Beales. It is my understanding that The Beggars Group/4AD have begun legal proceedings against her with regards to the alleged sales of a "Tishbites" DVD of musical group Cocteau Twins.
Ms. Beales is an avid Cocteau Twins supporter, collector and promoter, all of which she does without any official financial support. Not only has she contributed to their official website (www.cocteautwins.com) but she has also been maintaining a highly-informative Cocteau Twins website (www.cocteautwins.org) for the past ten years (which has seen nearly one-million visitors). Her love for our music has inspired her to branch-out in various other ways to show her tireless support for the band.
Ms. Beales also runs our official online discussion forum (www.cocteautwinsforums.com), where she helps to inform their fanbase, numbering in the thousands, of any upcoming projects that any former band members are involved in. Ms. Beales also maintains a Cocteau Twins mailing list; members of which are also contacted regularly in the event that any Cocteau Twins (or related) news or information becomes available. Further, Ms. Beales also hosts an annual gathering of Cocteau Twins fans from around the world which is called Cocteau Fest. The event not only promotes Cocteau Twins music but keeps their legacy alive and helps introduce new listeners to their discography. She also maintains the official website for that event, www.cocteaufest.com.
Ms. Beales is also the host and creator of two other websites: one for lead vocalist, www.elizabethfraser.com and one for bassist, www.simonraymonde.com.
Ms. Beales not only has one of the world's largest Cocteau Twins collections but she has proved her on-going support and dedication to the band through the numerous ways mentioned above.
There is no malicious intent in her actions. She is a trustworthy individual who would not jeopardise her relationship with the band solely in order to profit in the manner she is currently being accused. She has never been considered a threat to their artistic integrity. Therefore we strongly recommend that The Beggars Group/4AD reconsider their present legal actions against Ms. Beales.
