Frederick McWilliams has an execution date in the State of Texas on November 10th, 2004 for the murder of Alphonso Rodriguez during a robbery.
We express our deep sympathy with the victim and his relatives. However, we do not believe that the execution of Mr. McWilliams would be able to reduce the pain he has caused. Believing in responsibility Mr. McWilliams should live behind bars and get the time to live the choice he once made. Even today Frederick McWilliams is no longer the man he was than he shot Mr. Rodriguez. More time would give him the chance to go on with his betterment. Not to execute Mr. McWilliams would also be the only possibility to avoid new victims. Mr. McWilliams has two children who need their father even if he would be in prison.
It is time to interrupt the chain of violence, therefore we urge you Mr. Perry and the Board-Members to stop the execution of Frederick McWilliams and commute his death sentence.
