Students against LISD's Random School Drug Testing

LISD has approved a Random Drug testing Policy.
According to the Dallas Morning News, "Trustees approved spending $437,787, which includes $109,427 for drug testing and additional money for counseling and support programs."
If you believe that this is a total waste of resources, that could instead be used for other means (IE: Better computers in the schools, updated textbooks, eliminating years of extra-curricular activities' fund-raisers, etc..) or if you believe that a Random Drug Testing Policy will not solve the drug issues in the LISD, please sign your name below.
If you are a student, it would be great if you could also attach your school's name.

I think that this is not the way to go. b/c it could end up as more people droping out of school, or alchol abuse.. They should just stop trying to beat other schools and just focus on our (the students) education..

If it doesn't stop here, soon it will be cavity searches, home searches, parential drug screening and worse. Not only is this a massive waste of resources, it is a violation of the Fourth Amendment. My children *will* be pulled from LISD if this continues
