Support Imam Muhammad Masood

We the undersigned people of conscience, from multi-ethnic, multi-religious communities, implore the immigration judge in the case of Imam Muhammad Masood to approve his continued presence in this country for the good of our greater Boston community and its next generations.

We emphatically confirm that Imam Masood preaches the moderate and peaceful message of Islam, is a leader in the Sharon and Greater Boston interfaith communities, an upstanding member of their clergy associations, and a staunch proponent and participant of dialogue amongst all faiths. Given the hardships his family is going through, it would be double tragedy to deport such a uniting figure who preaches a message of positive Muslim contribution and involvement in society. Not only would his family continue to suffer, but so would the school children who take him as their daytime father. We hope that the honorable judge agrees it is most beneficial to support and nurture Imam Masoods constructive message.

Therefore, we reiterate our petition to the immigration judge to grant Imam Muhammad Masood an early hearing date. We also seek the reinstatement of his work authorization to support his family of ten. This will enable him to continue his positive preaching and efforts for intercommunity cooperation.
