Dear President Kwasniewski,
We urge you to sign the new law on advocate admission. Poland needs to proceed in the 21st century with a system for lawyer admission that will provide a legal profession equipped to assist Poland to compete in the global economy and with the numbers of lawyers and diversity of views to enhance access to justice for Poland's people. Furthermore, a system for admission of lawyers should be fair to applicants-a transparent and publicly accountable system.
The law before you for signature represents a major advance over the present system in these regards, and we strongly urge you to act in the public interest and sign the law.
