Taking the stealth out of Spyware

This is a petition for Congress, all law makers, and government officials to see. There are certain programs that they might not be aware of called "Spyware" A general term for a program that surreptitiously monitors your actions. While they are sometimes sinister, like a remote control program used by a hacker, software companies have been known to use Spyware to gather data about customers. This SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!! Companies are doing this and obtaining information illegally and are getting away with it! These programs install themselves without the user knowing it and **DRASTICIALLY SLOWS DOWN ANY COMPUTER if you have enough of it on your system**. It's ludicrous what these companies are getting away with and yet their is nothing being done to stop it! Once I obtain my goal of 5,000 Signatures I will bring a printout to my local congressman who is Peter King and inform him of this matter. Something must be done and we will be heard!!!
