Talley Student Center Should Not Have Been Approved

Let me give you an example so you can better understand the point. Perhaps you have a 1993 Mercury Villager and it breaks down at least once a month while you are driving. Let's say the only alternative to putting up with its break downs is to buy a new car for $3,000. You can clearly see the need for a new car, but you might also believe that it is not worth $3,000 to you to replace. Perhaps you would prefer to put up with a bad car than pay $3,000. Maybe you think the money would be better spend in another area or not at all.
This is the case of the Talley Student Center. We acknowledge that there is a need for funding to renovate Talley, but we do not believe that it is worth the money, or for many of us, the three or four years of construction that it will impose on us.
To ignore the results of this pole by interpreting them in such a bogus, reverse way, you are ripping apart the integrity of the student government practicing undemocratic principles in a public school. Please accept that we voted no and do not approve the funding for the new Talley Student Center.
