Ten Cents Makes Sense

We, the undersigned, urge the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors to increase the property tax rate by ten cents and dedicate those dollars to the Fairfax County School System in Fiscal Year 2011. This action would preserve our first class educational system and, because housing assessments will decrease in the next year, would not result in a net tax increase for the average homeowner. We urge this action because, aside from public safety, we believe there is no more important priority than the education of our children.
