The 2006 Laureate Reimbursement

In light of the recent obtaining of the 2006 Laureate, the Pittston Area Senior High School yearbook, there has been a series of complaints filed in the Administrative offices. However, we, the Pittston Area Senior High School Class of 2006, realize that most of these issues will become overlooked as the yearbooks are not the last hope of memories from your graduating class. We are aware that a typical yearbook possesses many visible mistakes that are permanently resting within the vast amount of yearbooks that line our alma maters walls, but the Laureate 2006 has gone far beyond this. Within the binding of our yearbook, we have the typical typographical errors underneath senior portraits and even in so much as mistakenly naming people. This, however, is the least of our worries which says a lot for an $80.00 book. Problems this extensive should not have to be addressed.

A few examples of common problems:
A: Six known typographical errors in names
B: Entirely no indication of which child is who in "Remember When" section
C: "PHS People" should be "PAHS People"
D: Misplacement of undergraduates in "PHS People"
E: No indication of any sports team's records or season highlights
F: No boy's soccer, girl's soccer, or men's ice hockey
G: No indication of men's baseball's accomplishments
H: No club section, 2006 Talent Show, 2006 Prom, or Candids
I: Class Clown is missing from Superlatives
J: More color in the last sixteen pages than in the entire book.
K: The yearbooks took a year to complete

These are just a few of the serious problems we have noticed in our yearbook. The yearbook staff had completed more work on the book than what was printed within. In complete honesty, some of the above issues were consummated by the staff but not featured in the yearbook. It is our hope with scrutinous review of the yearbook you can see the quality of yearbook we were distributed to 'remember always'. A decade or more down the road we will not even be able to identify people in most of the pictures due to neglect. We, the class of 2006, urge you to help us either defray the cost of $80.00 per unit or help us pay for new units all together.
