The CS Source Hitbox

We, the undersigned, believe that CS Source is in an intolerable state.







We, the undersigned, are loyal fans to this great game. We have stuck by the CS franchise for many years, and will stick by it for generations to come.







However, we feel you make a mockery of our "addiction" to CS Source by refusing to make up for your lack of work when designing and writing the netcode to CS Source.







The hitboxes are a major problem in Counter-Strike Source. CS1.6 was renowned for its immacculate hitboxes, its balanced play, and its large community. This community was built up on the basis that the game felt rewarding because you could always improve, there was no end to the game.







But the hitboxes in CS Source put as at a standstill, and this we feel as a community leaves the professional sector at a standstill too. The CPL and other tournaments remain 1.6 based because Source is currently too bad.

What we, the undersigned, prepose is that Valve spend some of their time fixing the faulty product they have flooded to the masses. Instead of the useless updates (the ever-changing ct model for example?), we would like Valve to spend some time to really look at the core concept of CS, and modify source accordingly.







We are sure that Valve is capable of immacculate netcode, as we have experienced it in the past. We just need them to prove it to us.
