Provision of small retail outlets to serve the Wester Inch Community
Wester Inch Village currently has no small retail outlets developed and available for use by local businesses for use by the local community.
The Housing Developers for the Wester Inch Village have resisted the requests from the Community (including the Wester Inch Community Association) and West Lothian Council to provide small Retail Outlets to serve the local community and the Housing Developers currently appear focused on purely building more homes to sell.
Local Retail Outlets are the feature of a local community and can provide many services and products as well as contributing and promoting a sense of community spirit.
The Wester Inch Community is entitled to expect local ammenities which are easily accesible for residents without the need to travel for basics such that a Convenience Store would provide. The provision of local retail outlets will encourage people to spend locally and would likely provide local employment as a benefit.
The Wester Inch Community Association asks that you support this petition and say 'YES' for the provision of small Retail Outlets within Wester Inch Village such as a local Convenience Store and 'NO' to the Housing Developers simply developing more homes on available land.
Please support us, the Wester Inch Community Association and by doing so, you will also be helping develop the Wester Inch Village Community and local spirit.
The more people who sign this petition, the greater voice the Wester Inch Community will have to influence and make Wester Inch Village a better place to live.
