To the Legislative General Assembly of the State of Iowa
This is a petition by the undersigned to increase the lawful speed limit, for all vehicular traffic in the State of Iowa, to sixty-five miles per hour.
We request that the speed limit on Iowa's "fully controlled-access, divided, multilaned highways including the national system of interstate highways" be increased to *eighty* miles per hour between sunrise and sunset, and seventy miles per hour between sunset and sunrise.
We request that the lawful speed of all "motor truck" traffic (as defined under Iowa Code 321.1(41)) remain at no greater than seventy miles per hour between sunrise and sunset, and sixty-five miles per hour between sunset and sunrise.
