It has come to the attention of the undersigned that you are considering staying in Victoria to complete the Professional Legal Training Course and withdraw from the waitlist to the Vancouver session of the same. We respectfully urge you to do so.
We concede that Vancouver is an awesome summer town. However, we say that Victoria is equally, but differently awesome. We say that a Victoria summer should be experienced once in your life, and note that this is, in all likelihood, your last and only opportunity to do so.
The undersigned would like to highlight the following Vancouver Island/Victoria summer activities that will happen this summer that we submit you would enjoy being a part of. The list is not exclusive.
Inexpensive, weekday afternoon golf.
Overnight kayaking trips.
Camping and surfing at Sombrio Beach.
Regular patio beers.
Trips to various lakes within 30 minutes of your apartment.
An increase in your exposure to Matthew Schissel.
The author, Powder "Eric" Regehr, urges you to view his Facebook Albums entitled "The Summer of Yes" to see what a summer in Victoria looks like. This summer actually happened. Many of the undersigned were a part of it.
We recognize that there are financial benefits to the PLTC session in Vancouver. We urge you to consider the non-monetary benefits of a Victoria summer and the fact that in 2-3 years you will be a fucking baller.
We, the undersigned, are your friends and colleagues. Some of us will be in Victoria this summer and would look forward to benefiting from your presence. Some of us will be elsewhere but wish you to experience what we have already experienced - a glorious Vancouver Island summer.
