The War on Crystal Meth and other drugs

2 days ago, my first born child, David Reese, who was 16, told me he was out with some friends for the afternoon, which was normal enough. Apparently he was at a friends house, but actually he was with a few girls and his best friend Todd, over in the nearby city of San Jose. They were experimenting with numerous drugs, including Crystal Meth.

This is very hard for me to write, as I've been weeping for nearly 48 hours straight, but on Tuesday, October 12th, 2004, my son David died in the hospital due to an overdose of Crystal Meth. There was nothing the doctors could do when they found him.

I havnt slept since, and finally I mustered the courage to do a little research. Crystal Meth alone kills thousands of children each year, mostly kids who had been pressured into trying it from friends. This has got to stop. The USA must take the war on drugs to the next level, no more small fines for drug dealing, no more cutting deals. This madness has to stop.

I'm making this survey to send to the Government and hope it reaches the president of the United States himself. What really inspired me to do this was not his death alone, but the feeling I got when I had to explain to my 7 year old daughter that her older brother, her idol, her hero, died from a drug overdose. Please, help me, Samantha Reese, take action and let the government know this must stop, in honor of my son, and in honor of all the others who's lives were claimed from Drugs. We all must come together to make this happen, and it starts with this petition.
