This is My TV Remote! It's My Choice!

Sponsors and advertisers are pulling their ads from popular and in some cases award-winning television programs because Parents Television Council and such groups have deemed the shows unfit for public consumption. Shows currently being attacked are Family Guy, American Dad, The O.C., Desperate Housewives, CSI, Cold Case, Two & A Half Men, That 70's Show, and Nip/Tuck.

This petition is directed at those companies who have pulled their ads from Nip/Tuck and will serve as a message to those groups who instead of educating parents in the V-Chip and parental locks and controls on their own televisions choose to control everyone's viewing choices.

This petition is also a memo to other advertisers. A boycott works both ways. I bought my television and the remote that goes with it. I will watch the shows I choose and I will purchase the products I choose with my money. I will not let some well-meaning but misguided organization bully me and neither should you. Just like each television program (be it sitcom, drama, or reality show) has competition so does each manufacturer and advertiser.

I will make the choice.
