Touch Lounge and Dining, located at 499 King Street West, has applied for a liquor licence with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
We strongly oppose the granting of a liquor licence to Touch Lounge. We are deeply concerned that this venue will be used as a nightclub/bar. It has been advertised as a CLUB and as a PLACE TO DRINK. The lack of a clear purpose for the venue further aggravates our concerns. The owners of Touch Lounge have stated intentions to use the facility as a restaurant, special events venue, banquet hall, coffee shop, and 24-hour car garage and scrap yard. Excessive levels of noise and disturbance are to be expected from this establishment and its inebriated patrons once a full liquor licence is granted.
Please let us live in peace in this neighbourhood we call our home.
